Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A comeback Medvedev won his first trophy for over two years with victory over Corentin Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former top-ranked player, has endured a challenging period, managing just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a setback at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his serving in particular - resulted in him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Currently collaborating with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, he has consistently advanced in the past month - peaking in a tightly fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's maiden title after the Rome competition and initial on a hard surface since that period of 2023.
Victory also signifies he has won 21 championships at twenty-one distinct tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a competition with my children simultaneously, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my younger daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six title deciders, including in the German tournament in the past months.
His counter-punching approach and regular reactions on the tennis court had led observers to question if his skill to compete at the elite level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to approach the net and play assertively, supported by an better serving game.
He fought back from a break down in the first set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the last five exchanges to take the lead.
The competitors exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his maiden tour title, took control to push for a third set.
Moutet rescued four early-game break points in a close deciding set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to secure the win.
Fittingly, the winner clinched the win with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet failing to manage a volley after over two and a half hours.
