In a surprising partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, the game developer has announced an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Mission Disclosed
According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of banned ceremonies and terrifying changes reverberate through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a terrifying foe" and is accessible to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The teaser features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the captive, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Prizes and Extra Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an exclusive katana in addition to numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
